Bobnoxious’ new song #EOA is getting loads of requests & lots of cheers according to @Burke_FM, despite the “controversial” lyrics. #ldnont

Lots of people asking about the EOA song by @BobnoxiousRocks: are we offended? Meh! It’s a song. We are #OEVLdn. We have overcome worse!
@CTVLondon @CHoworunCTV @BobnoxiousRocks @CTVNews How cruel. I don’t see any of that in our EOA neighbourhood. I’m offended.
Ignorant @BobnoxiousRocks song deepens #LdnOnt classism http://www.lfpress.com/2014/04/04/song-articulates-the-divide-known-as-eoa … @FM96Rocks
@BobnoxiousRocks from a chick who grew up in the EOA you just described my childhood! Its awesome great job!!
Bobnoxious’ song about E.O.A is funny, but true! Can’t argue with the reality of it all! #truestory
@emlaughsallot88 @DanHilton74 @LFPress @BobnoxiousRocks @WFFarmerMkt Unfortunately that song is inaccurate and the wrong spin for ‘EOA’!

It’s not really a salute to London in the spirit of, say, Mayor Joe Fontana’s City of Opportunity song.
But the new single from London’s Bobnoxious is clearly increasing awareness of the city. Or at least part of it.
E.O.A. — the name of the single and the acronym for neighbourhoods “East of Adelaide” — is either crass and offensive or clever and funny, depending on which side of the Adelaide fence you’re standing on.

A divide apparently only deepened over time still cuts through the centre of London, as psychological as it is physical, so understood that a mere three letters sum it all up for citizens: E.O.A.
The acronym, which stands for East of Adelaide, references Adelaide St., the north-south road that runs through the core and serves as the dividing line between two cliched halves of London — the wealthy, snobbish west and the working-class, hard-scrabble east.
